malachidavenport: I don’t need a party to congratulate you on publishing a book. I do need a party for alcohol. Well it would mean a lot to me though if you came whether there was alcohol or not…

malachidavenport: I mean it sounds like something that would be much more fun with alcohol. … So coming to congratulate a friend on publishing a book isn’t something you would want to do unless there was alcohol?
malachidavenport: That sounds cool. Will there be alcohol? Are you implying that you’ll only come if there is alcohol? [ Laughs ]
malachidavenport: How’s your book coming along? I’m still waiting for my ARC. It’s going really well. In a few weeks I send it to my editor for another round of editing. I’m hoping to have a book publishing party actually.
hannahia: Oh. Well, I think we are now. That’s great!
hannahia: Serious? Well last time we talked you two were not official yet…
malachidavenport: I’m glad too. I’ve never spent a holiday alone and I never want to. Yeah, be glad. It’s not fun. But enough about that… It’s too depressing.

malachidavenport: Nice, nice. Some of my friends from back home came and surprised me, so we went out partying. It was so much fun, just what I needed. Yeah it was nice. Oh that sounds like so much fun! I’m glad they came to surprise you.
hannahia: They are. So are you two pretty serious?
hannahia: We did. It was just a quiet night, honestly. Those are always a nice change of pace.
scarlet-rhodes: I can imagine! Living alone can be awful. Which is why I got a dog when I lived alone. [ laughs ]
malachidavenport: Good, I don’t want you to be mom. I think it was pretty good, yeah. What did you do? No worries. I won’t be mom. Promise. Jordan had a few friends over at our place to watch the Ball Drop. What about you?
scarlet-rhodes: Good! I’m happy for you two! Thanks. It’s uh… it’s been a nice change.
malachidavenport: Nope! I guess I’ll give you that. Well then I am not mom. [ Laughs ] Did you have a good New Year’s Eve though? I mean besides the hangover the next day.
scarlet-rhodes: I heard you two moved in together? Congratulations! Yeah we did. Thank you! It’s been nice, getting to see him at least once every day. I think it’s helped us be able to keep in touch since we both have been busy.
malachidavenport: You’re such a mom. [He ruffles her hair.] [ Laughs before fixing her hair ] Hey, I didn’t scold you. Now did I?
malachidavenport: I will admit to nothing! [ Laughs ] Ah. So basically, a yes.
scarlet-rhodes: There you go! A perfect resolution. Yep. We’ve both been so busy lately, I think it’ll be good if I try and make more of an effort to see him.
hannahia: I spent some time with Matt, honestly. Oh that’s great! You two had fun then?
malachidavenport: I slept through yesterday, I guess. Hung over from New Year’s Eve?
ma-morrison: It’s impossible to know beforehand, but, yes, I guess we’ll see what happens… I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you.
malachidavenport: Is it seriously already Friday? Was yesterday a full 24-hour day? It went by so fast, I was thinking the same thing.
ma-morrison: We’ll have to see about that… I end up messing things up quite regularly… But, thanks nevertheless… Well hopefully Theo will understand, if you do accidentally mess things up.
hannahia: I did. That’s good. What did you do to celebrate?
scarlet-rhodes: Well you have the right attitude about it and that’s the first step. That’s true. I’m just hoping we can spend some more time together.
